Roseland Community

Roseland was founded in the 1800s by Dutch immigrants and later became a thriving hub for steel mill workers and the railroad industry.

Pullman Legacy:
Roseland includes the historic Pullman District, once home to the Pullman Palace Car Company and one of the first model industrial communities in the U.S. It’s now a National Monument.

West Pullman

Established in the late 19th century, West Pullman was developed as a residential area for workers of the nearby Pullman Company. The neighborhood experienced industrial growth followed by decline, leading to economic challenges in the latter half of the 20th century.

Washington Heights

Originally settled by European immigrants, Washington Heights experienced significant demographic shifts in the 20th century, becoming a predominantly African American community by the 1970s.

South Shore (Pilot)

Situated on Chicago’s South Side, South Shore is bordered by Lake Michigan to the east, offering residents scenic lakefront views and access to beaches and parks.
The neighborhood encompasses the South Shore Cultural Center, a historic landmark that serves as a community hub for cultural events and recreational activities.
